What this is
------------
The shareware release of DOOM (episode 1, "Knee-Deep in the Dead"),
running in your browser as WebAssembly. Nothing to install.

Controls
--------
Default ("Classic", as in the original game):

  Arrow keys      move / turn
  Ctrl            fire
  Space           open doors, use switches
  Shift (hold)    run
  Alt (hold)      strafe with the arrow keys
  , and .         strafe left / right
  1-7             pick weapon
  Esc             menu (save/load is in here)
  Tab             automap
  Mouse           click the game to capture it; left fires, right strafes,
                  middle moves forward. Esc releases it.

Click "Controls..." (in the window's status bar, or on the start screen)
to remap any key or mouse button, switch to the "Modern (WASD)" preset,
turn on Always run, or change mouse sensitivity and vertical movement.
Always run works the same way as in chocolate-setup (joyb_speed 29).

Saves, controls and the in-game options (volume, screen size, gamma...)
are stored in your browser only. Music isn't implemented yet; sound
effects are.

Browser port: src/doomgeneric_web.c (platform layer: video, input,

Game data: DOOM1.WAD, the official DOOM shareware v1.9 data file
         (MD5 f0cefca49926d00903cf57551d901abe), distributed unmodified
         and free of charge as id Software's shareware terms allow.
         DOOM is a trademark of id Software. This site is not affiliated
         with id Software, Bethesda or ZeniMax.
